To be alive and to be aware of it is to be 'political'

Some profound and true words from a friend.

"You may THINK you have the right to freedom, privacy, autonomy of thought & deed... water, food shelter... a vote, equality, peace... education, heath care, social welfare, free speech... to not be victimised or offended or endangered or killed... but the 'rights' you believe yourselves to have are not written in stone... & I actually gravely doubt the reality of many of them... they are but a mirage. They are merely privileges accredited to us by others... they are hard won & can be easily lost."

This is of course perfectly true, although fairly obvious. Rights do not exist until some body of people has devised them and passed laws which ensure that others have a duty to respect them. In that sense, they are privileges; they could be nothing else. 'Rights' such as the 'right' to food could hardly exist in nature; these things have been dreamed up by humans and codified in law. Also, of course, 'rights' change as the law changes. Some previous 'rights' such as the 'right' to own slaves, have been abolished and others put in their place. I am sure that many of the things that we view as 'rights' today will seem absurd to future generations.

The authority's live in fear of people seeing though them and taking control of there own lives. There grip on power is slight and it would not take much to overthrown them! the government and civil servants know this.Home educators are seen as a danger as the government can not can not control what the child is taught and thinks! you could have all the home education you want if the authority's are in control of it!

Crazy old Badman report was the opening shot in a long long war i can see ahead of us!
most people are unaware of how nasty authority is until has contact with them then it opens your eyes the job of government is to close peoples minds and have a sheepie population
lets hope that one day more people will wake up.
I am afraid Webb wont change he is an Establishment man crawling away in the background like a cockroach and the only way to be rid of a cockroach is to step on it and crush it like we did to Badman!
